Cutting cost in business -> How to use Video Communication in business!

I've never been 2 much of a fan of economics.
But the recent hike in oil prices has left my account
sheets in tatters. My job requires quite a lot
of moving around, and recent hike in flight tickets,
is emptying my coffers pretty fast.

Thankfully technology(as mentioned in My previous post ), has kept up,
with an alternative budgeted solution.

the full potential of it has only just dawned on me.

I mean you gotta think twice before you shell out twice(x2),
the original amount for a pesky ticket... or petrol 4 that matter.
Well for the sake of information, I studied a bit more of video
technology. I didn't realize our daily activities, not only mine
but corporates and individuals on the move, have much more,
than business on their mind. And what we call a business trip,
is actually a waste of money.

If you've read through I guess you will get the implication of
it and how truthful it is. Not considering the effect on
environment, a substitute to frequent traveling saves cost in

terms of flight charge and staying charge of course. With all due
respect to airlines, hotels and co., for someone on a tight
budget, they must get hold of an alternative to cut costs.
One sure shot way is to embrace video technology and one

Do you remember those days when Star Trek,

effects to go ga-ga over. Some were totally insane,

an article made definite comparisons of, the same stuff,
with real life inventions taking shape.
A prototype of the Tractor beam,
or the phasor/laser/ray gun is in place , shield etc,

is coming through quietly, on experimental basis.
Heck, I cant rant about those because its out of my reach.
But, something I'v seen taking shape is the growth of
video+sound transmission through real time.

Not to get you confused, I remember watching Capt. Jean-Luc Picard,

talking with Worf across light years like he was there.

Back 15 years, that was amazing. Now I do it very other day,
though not across light years :)).
Well, welcome to the world of video conferencing and
web transmission. Most of Gen Y, have obviously been
acquainted with this. Very soon we will get live feed,
on mobiles too!

Its been a big leap for all its worth, and even though most people
haven't yet accepted its usability, I'm pretty sure very soon,
this will be how we communicate, (Video+Sound),
No more only speaking but seeing too!
